Dear Family and Friends,
It seems just like yesterday that I wrote our last update letter, time truly flies when you're having fun! It's certainly a blessing to see the Lord moving, especially knowing that people such as you are faithfully praying for the specifics of the ministry! "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16) The only reason God blesses anything we do for Him is because of humble prayer! I mentioned in our last newsletter that 4 were soon set to be baptized and another couple had made the same commitment and we thank God as all 6 were baptized since I last wrote to you! Please pray for these new believers to grow up in the Lord and for many more to receive the Lord and be baptized also! One new convert is very active in sharing the Gospel to his co-workers and neighbors and often brings visitors to Church, praise God! Nothing is much more exciting than seeing the believers active in evangelism! We asked your prayers also for Teodora who was recently hit by her husband and God has blessed as Teodora is 100% faithful to the Lord and her husband hasn't hit her again since I last wrote to you. Please pray still for her husband to come to know Jesus too. Please pray for a good number of regular Church visitors (approx. 20) who have not yet been baptized. Many of them have gained clear understanding of the Gospel, but have yet to apply in their hearts what they've learned. As I explained to one person recently, you can see the gift and know what it is, but it's not your until you receive it. One 13 year old youth has received the Lord, but her parents will not allow her to be baptized and we've seen this happen on a frequent basis among the younger people, please keep these parents in your prayers.
Thanks for your prayers for the outreach to the nearby province! Both adults and children are currently attending Monday afternoon Bible studies! Myself and another young man in the Church are teaching them and it's going great! There are usually 10-15 adults and 10-15 children listening! Pray for this work to grow and grow and people to be saved!
I mentioned before also that the Church has begun supporting the a Filipino family going to Tibet to share the Gospel and I recently spoke to them and learned that this August they will be leaving for Tibet! The people in the Church here are excited to help out and we ask you all to pray for the expansion of the Gospel throughout Asia here. The Church here also started financially supporting the a family who are missionaries to Cambodia. They were able to visit here recently while on furlough. Please continue praying for the mission-vision to grow among the people here and that they would grow in their sacrifices for the Gospel. "Whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it." (Mark 8:35) Please pray always for the Bible Institute ministry here, that the program would grow and grow in number of students. I wrote in my last newsletter about one woman who wants to enter, but was unable because of her unbelieving husband. God has blessed as she is now a student!
Thanks for your faithful prayers in all of these matters and your faithful financial support for us as we serve the Lord here! Take a moment and write us if you can!
Yours in Christ,
